"Ebn al-Muqaffaʿ in Narrative and Poetry" is a peer-reviewed journal published by University of Tehran -Farabi College. Articles focus on critical studies (independent or comparative) on Iranian and Arabic narrative and poetry. Since its establishment in 1382 SH/2005 CE, the journal has published its studies under the title "Journal of Arabic Language and Literature" until 1403 SH/2024 CE, when it adopted a new identity. This transformation involved a specialized modification in its title and some of its themes, aiming to expand the journal's regional and international horizons and elevate its standing in global academic circles. Having become one of the most prominent journals in the list of peer-reviewed journals of the University of Tehran and the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the journal's new title, "Ebn al-Muqaffaʿ in Narrative and Poetry," reflects our belief that Abdullah Ebn al-Muqaffaʿ, a luminary of both Iranian and Arabic literature and one of their most significant symbols, serves as a sturdy bridge between Pahlavi, Arabic, and Persian literatures. He embodies the journal's and the university's aspirations to strengthen the relationship between Arab and Iranian universities and societies.
The journal, with its international specialized editorial and review board and professional executive team, continues to welcome serious and new studies in the field of Iranian and Arabic literature. It maintains a serious commitment to scientific neutrality, publication ethics, and a steadfast belief in the values of openness, pluralism, and dialogue.
Finally, the journal is fully committed to a double-blind peer-review policy for research submissions.
