Abstract

ABSTRACT

Love, as one of the most beautiful manifestations of human life, has drawn a lot of attention from writers and poets. Among the poets who have used the theme of love in their poems are Nizar Qabbani and Heymen Mokoryani. These two poets have used all aspects of love in their poems. The present research is trying to investigate the romantic themes of these two poets with descriptive-analytical method and explain their commonalities and differences. The findings of the research show that two poets have used all the aspects related to love, but each of them has highlighted certain aspects of it according to their special culture; Nizar has given personality to the inanimate elements of nature, but such a thing is not found in Divan Hemen. Heymen's poems are much more painful than Nizar's poems, and Nizar's grief is due to the loss of his wife Belqis, and in a sense, Nizar has reached the connection of his beloved, but death has separated them, but Heymen's love has failed from the beginning to the end. Nizar has adopted a middle way in expressing his love for his lover, but Heymen has gone too far in this regard. In criticizing the lover, Nizar has reduced the position of the beloved to the lowest level, but Heymen has acted with kindness and has not used insulting similes like Nizar.
