Abstract

Literary and critical studies, influenced by new linguistic studies and linguists' attempts, have developed at the end of 19th and beginning of 20th centuries. In this context, the notion of studying literary styles became an independent branch of science called stylistics. It uses principles and bases of linguistics to systematically study and analyze literary styles
Since the most important feature of stylistics is the scope of vocabulary and word richness of writer and poet, searching and evaluating this scope and richness is one of those parameters which can be used to analyze literary styles systematically and scientifically. In this context, researchers have lots of options, and there are various methods, too. One of these methods is to study the vocabulary diversity in writer's style.
